With a play on the metaphor of ‘cleansing’ and ‘processes’, this poster conceptually portrays the process and journey the greenstone (pounamu) goes through to be cleansed and neutralised of all negative tapu elements by water. The typographic composition visualises a typeface that portrays the koru within the type design, this symbol links to the delicate movement and motion evident in the composition. Water cannot be controlled, it is free and flows thus why the bleeding mark and colour palette of different tones of blue have been visualised and the type thus blends together.
